Dan creates large wall mounted driftwood sculptures, from his home studio in Horseshoe Valley. He is looking forward to showing a few new creations this thanksgiving weekend, a wolf and beaver sculpture are just a couple of recent projects. There might be a few smaller pieces this year focusing on the Christmas season, wreaths, trees and decorations. The driftwood sculptures have been evolving over a ten year period, focusing originally on cottage country decor. Lately, clients have been purchasing his pieces for their homes as well. Many of his works have found their way into homes across Canada and the United States. Commissions are a large part of his business with clients delivering personal items to be incorporated into their custom piece. If the item is vintage, worn and can tell a story, that's the exact type of memorabilia he likes to include. Dan graduated from the Industrial Design program at Ontario College of Art in 1984 and spent many years as an illustrator, contractor, and sculptor.
