"Quilts to last a lifetime, art to treasure forever"
Jennifer Houlden is a textile artist by passion and nurse by profession, who lives with her husband and dog in beautiful Oro-Medonte. Working in her studio surrounded by the inviting Simcoe forest, Jennifer creates one-of-a-kind art quilts.
Jennifer's love of textiles, quilting, teaching and designing first manifested itself while living in the Arctic and further developed when living in the Australian Outback. Upon her return to Canada, Jennifer developed her own label, “Quilts by Jen” and began teaching, lecturing, designing and creating on a daily basis.
Learning and practicing never ends, which means Jennifer is on a continued quest for new ideas and techniques, always looking at how she can incorporate them into her work.
Jennifer's inspiration comes from the world around her through photographs, nature and her imagination. Her passion is to create art to enjoy and share with others.
